Nobuko's interest in holistic bodywork begun in 1999.  She Studied Shiatsu at San Francisco School of Massage, and practiced as a Shiatsu massage therapist before obtaining Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University. She also studied philosophy at Yoga Institute in Mumbai, India, and received Yoga Therapist certification. 

As an OT, Nobuko focused on manual therapy training and studied with Institute of Physical Arts (IPA). She completed courses in Core-First Strategies, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, and Functional Mobilization.  

Nobuko found CranioSacral Therapy in her path of exploration of various modalities. It fascinated her as it produced profound level of relaxation. It also helped her in eliminating chronic lower back pain, as well as other stress related symptoms. She begun studying CranioSacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute. She continues her advanced level training.
